To remove a Soap Opera character, treat them as particularly nasty vampires: stake through the heart (wood or silver), decapitate, bathe head and body in holy water, stuff mixture of garlic, holy wafers, silver and small crosses into both neck wounds of head and torso, burn the head and body in separate funeral pyres in bright sunlight, scatter the ashes of each pyre separately far and wide, and even then, watch your back!
